Course Details
On this course, you will learn how to perform a professional dry manicure and gel polish treatment.
You will need to study a manual and complete a theory assessment before attending a six-hour training session. The course includes both theory and practical elements that will teach you how to provide a professional gel polish treatment.
When you have successfully completed the course, you will receive a Kelly Ashby Nail Academy, ABT accredited certificate.
You will learn to:
- Prepare the treatment area
- Carry out a client consultation
- Safe natural nail preparation
- Perform a dry manicure
- File and shape the nails
- Maintain cuticles
- Apply gel polish
- Safely remove the gel polish
- Provide after-care advice
You will also study:
- Relevant hygiene, health and safety
- Sterilisation care of equipment
- Relevant anatomy and physiology
- Contra indications
- Contra actions
- Non-medical conditions
- Equipment and products
During this course I also provide advice to help start a business, for example, how to take photos and lots of hints and tips for a better service.
Requirements:
You will need to come to training with clean nails, as students work on each other (no models are required)
Kit:
A kit is not provided. I can provide you with a kit list.
This course is unbranded. It is essential that whichever brand you wish to work with that you bring the complete system and most importantly the lamp that the manufacturer has recommended.
