This course will teach you the techniques needed to safely and efficiently use an electric file (E-File). You will learn how to reduce strain on your hands and wrists, avoid RSI, shorten treatment times, and work more cost-effectively – all while providing a safe and comfortable service for your clients.
A professional quality E-File is recommended, and you will need to bring your own to the training session.
We recommend brands such as Lucy Pastorelli. Cheaper files from eBay/Amazon are not suitable for professional use and can be uncomfortable for clients.
Your E-File should:
- Feel comfortable for you and your client
- Not vibrate during use
- Have variable speeds
- Accept standard-size bits
- Come with a warranty
You will learn how to use your E-File to:
- Remove gel polish from overlays/enhancements
- Debulk product

Requirements
Please attend training with enhancements or overlays with gel polish (bright colours preferred) that have been on for 2–3 weeks.
Gel polish alone is not sufficient for training.
Students work on each other – no models are required.

All training fees are non-refundable and non-transferable if cancellation is made less than seventy two hours before the scheduled course date. Places are limited and bookings are confirmed upon receipt of payment. Training dates, times and locations will be confirmed by email. Certificates are issued on successful completion of the course. The academy reserves the right to reschedule training where necessary.
